As a promoter enhancing capacity in the local sphere, MILE endeavours to champion and facilitate better practices – which are inclusive, reflective, qualitative and in collaboration with other local actors.
Using the
Action Learning methodology, action research products for the relevant learning areas will be made available.
The historic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which came into effect on 19 January 2011 heralds the beginning of an important undertaking between eThekwini Municipality, Mangosuthu University of Technology, Durban University of Technology and University of KwaZulu-Natal to jointly position Durban as a city of learning.
The partners pledged to enhance research efforts, increase the exchange of theory and practice within the municipal context, as well as provide mutual support across the various disciplines.
