Creating and Enabling a KM Culture
As Local Government is transforming itself to becoming a knowledge hub, municipal practitioners from across country gathered at the Blue Waters Hotel for MILE’s first Learning Exchange on Knowledge Management.
Run in partnership with the South African Cities Network (SACN), South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and the Cooperative Government and Tradition Affairs (COGTA), practitioners were impressed by various presentations done by expert practitioners in the field of KM.  With expert led facilitation and discussion sessions, participants were enlightened by the knowledge gained and shared.
Zukiswa Ncunyana a Strategic Executive Director at the City of Tshwane felt that the Learning Exchange was an excellent platform for KM development in SA Cities.

“I think for me it solidified my understanding of the context and need for KM in Local Government. It will assist my department in the city to accelerate the implementation of our KM strategy. I would certainly like more exchanges of this nature, the learning’s are important for us to do the implementation faster and better," emphasised Ncunyana.
