WSSF Fellows Seminar
Twenty-seven post graduate doctoral students from around the world have been selected to participate in the 3rd WSSF Fellows Seminar to be hosted by the International Social Science Council (ISSC) at the Durban ICC on 11 September 2015. This event is a build-up to the WSSF2015 scheduled to place from 13-16 September.

MILE has been identified by the ISSC to co-ordinate this learning session which focuses on Urban Governance and Environmental Sustainability. One local case study has been suggested for each theme. The Itrump ABM has been recommended as a case study for the Urban Governance theme whilst the Palmiet River rehabilitation project for the Environmental Sustainability thematic area.

The session will include a walkabout within the Warwick Junction area, facilitated discussions and a site visit to the Palmiet River in Westville.
A key outcome of this learning exchange will be a detailed learning note that will contribute towards the City’s knowledge products.
