As part of the evolving Knowledge Management (KM) culture
within eThekwini Municipality, MILE hosted a Brown Bag seminar today on designing
and developing a MILE learning session.
A brown bag lunch session refers to an informal meeting that
happens in the workplace that provides a relaxed platform for staff to exchange
knowledge and experience.
MILE’s KM Programme Manager, Fezile Njokweni presented on designing
learning events and the key elements to note during the various phases of
implementation. From deriving a concept
document to evaluation, Njokweni highlighted the numerous steps that are often
missed when planning for such events.
