There are 2 categories related to this call for EXPANDED SUMMARIES. Determine if your potential presentation focuses on an evidence- based research or a collaborative project. Use Guideline A or B accordingly. 

A: EVIDENCE –BASED RESEARCH SUMMARY (3 -5 pages) 

This case study template must be populated using the guidelines suggested below to demonstrate how completed and applied research is impacting on the city of Durban. 

1. Presentation/ Research  Title and Author information 
2. Introduction 
3. Research Aim & Objectives 
4. ResearchMethods: The following areas are specifically mentioned  
        and this  ​must be written in a concise yet detailed manner: 
a. Research design
b. Research setting
c. Sample size  of the study and how they were selected 
d. Finally, the statistical methods used to analyze the data 
        are to be described. 
5. Relevance and Impact to eThekwini Municipality 
6. Findings, Recommendations and Conclusions 

B: PROJECT-BASED DESCRIPTIVE SUMMARY (3 -5 pages) 

This template must be populated using to guidelines suggested below to describe the nature and impact of the collaborative initiative between city practitioners and academia. 

1. Project  Title and Author information 
2. Introduction 
3. Project Description detailing project history, partners,
        resources & timelines
4. Relevance and Impact  to eThekwini Municipality 
5. Conclusion 

Font: Arial 12 with 1.5 spacing. All tables, figures and graphs must be clearly labelled.

Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted. Following a review by the Scientific Committee, an acceptance or regret response will be released by May 17, 2019.
